Probably the most chaotically created cosplay I have done....
Frantically sewn in one weekend, Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas was created with burlap, black cheesecloth, a visor, and glow-in-the-dark fabric spray paint. I started with a rough outline of my own body drawn in AutoCAD and then free-sketched OB's silhouette around it. Templates for the burlap fabric were printed at 1:1 scale and the burlap was cut with free-hand seam allowances. Several sewing machine needles were broken during the process of assembling the main body and base head form. The cheesecloth and head details were hand sewn. The head fits over a standard visor with the bill providing the structure for the top of OB's mouth, allowing it to stay up and open and creating a view screen.
